Physical Effects on the Human Body Due to Anxiety Disorders

Social Anxiety Disorder is classified by persistent and irrational fear of situations that may involve scrutiny or judgment by others, such as parties and other social events. Consuming alcohol is no different than consuming foreign toxins and leads to heightened anxiety, tension and stress.

Drug Abuse – Studies have shown that individuals suffering from high levels of anxiety are three times more likely to abuse prescription or illegal drugs. Drug Abuse has been linked to severe anxiety and panic attacks. The combination of drugs and alcohol can be devastating on the body and detrimental to the natural recovery process.

Malnutrition – An unbalanced diet may significantly contribute to high levels of stress.
