Beat Procrastination and Get Fit

“Until you value yourself, you will not value your time.  Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.”  Procrastination can be a hard habit to break, but does directly affect what you do with your time and can also have a big impact on your mental, emotional and physical health.

To give value to yourself can be one the hardest things to do, but is one of the most important when it comes to breaking the chains of procrastination.  As you journey through life, you can choose to make it an enjoyable experience or you can choose to aimlessly go wherever you let life take you.  Taking the хэнд that life has dealt you, dealing with it and turning it into a successful хэнд will help any procrastination habits disappear.  Thus, giving value back to yourself as well as the time that eventually you will look back on and call your life.  One of the quickest ways to negatively affect your state of health is through procrastination.

However, one of the quickest ways to bring value back into your life and break the habit of procrastination is through good health practices, such as a balanced diet, proper nutrition, and engaging in some type of fitness or exercise plan.  The chains of procrastination might be strong, but the value your life holds is stronger.

Don’t Make Tomorrow the Busiest Day of the Week!

Turning the mentality of “there is always tomorrow” into “start today” is the key.  As you begin to фокус on diet and fitness goals, making health based decisions a daily practice, you will find that today becomes your best friend and tomorrow stops being the busiest day of the week.  Start a diet today, start a fitness program today, give more importance to your overall wellness today, value yourself and who you are today and then watch your procrastination habit disappear today.

When you start to incorporate these practices in your life, at the end of the day you can look back and realize all the many things that you were able to accomplish. Then appreciate the fact that you accomplished what you had set out to accomplish.  You have the strength to turn tomorrow into today, and start to change the way you look at yourself and where you are going in life.

Baby Steps

Fighting procrastination and giving value to you can be a hard and lengthy process.  A total change will not happen overnight, especially if there are negative life-long habits that have been formed.

Making healthy decisions by starting diets and fitness regimens might not be a perfect process every single day, but staying focused on what you have accomplished and what you are accomplishing instead of what you haven’t, will help you to achieve your wellness goals, steering clear of self disappointment and falling back into your procrastination habits. When it comes to procrastination take baby steps, start valuing yourself with small changes at first then let those small changes eventually snowball into bigger changes.

Reverse Psychology

Remember that while procrastination can be bad for your health, your health can be good for your procrastination.  Don’t put off your health and wellness for tomorrow, turn the psychology around and let a healthy life erase the desire to procrastinate.  As you start seeing positive personal changes you start to recognize that today is much more vital that tomorrow and you realize that if tomorrow never comes your gave your all today and can find satisfaction in that.
